Razz is becoming one of the more popular side games and is a derivative of 7 Card Stud Low. This means that players will be playing for the best lowest hand made from 5 out of the seven cards dealt to. To play Razz each player will need to ante into the pot, followed by the dealer dealing each player three cards – two face down and one up. The player who has the highest face up card is considered the bring-in and will be required to wager either half a bet or a full bet. The bring-in cannot fold until the first betting round. Once all the players have determined their course of action, the dealer will begin dealing 4th street. In this betting round the player with the lowest exposed cards will be the first to act. This process will continue until the final card which is called 7th street and will be dealt face down. Once the final betting round has taken place, again starting with the player who has the lowest exposed poker hand, a showdown will take place. If two players tie their hands the pot will be split.
