player
at
the

Originally
from
Vietnam,
she
first
learned
poker
as
a
child
and
throughout
most
of
her
career
was
strictly
a
Limit
Holdem
player.
In
2005
she
took
the
leap
and
entered
into
the
WSOP
$1,500
No
Limit
Holdem
event,
where
she
placed
an
impressive
5th
place,
in
addition
to
12th
place
in
the
$5,000
No
Limit
Holdem
and
the
$3,000
No
Limit
Holdem.
2005
was
a
great
year
for
her
with
five
money
finishes
which
includes
the
Bellagio's
2005 Festa Al Lago, where she placed 4th and the 2005 Five Diamond World Poker
Classic where she placed in the top 10.
In
2006,
Lieu
entered
the
$1,000
Limit
Holdem
event
at
the
2006
L.A.
Poker
Classic
at the Commerce Casino in California. Not only did she place first in this event,
but she took it down again in 2007. Later that year Lieu, along with fellow
player Johnny Chan, received the “Final Table Grand Marshall “award
presented by the World Series of Poker.
